STEP-BY-STEP TIPS TO SECURE YOUR PACKAGE

There’s nothing worse than receiving damaged goods. Avoid the disappointment and the secondary shipping process by securing your package through a few simple steps. With this diligent packing method and an experienced carrier, your package will arrive safely to its destination.

Here’s a list of some packing items you will need, followed by a step-by-step guide:
  • New corrugated box
  • Packing tape
  • Styrofoam peanuts or packing foam
  • Bubble Wrap or packing paper
  • Step 1
    USING A FEW SHEETS

Using a few sheets of bubble wrap or packing paper, tightly wrap your item (multiple items in one box should be wrapped individually).

  • Step 2
    USE THE PACKING

Use the packing tape to keep the bubble wrap or packing paper securely on the item so it doesn’t have a chance to fall off.

  • Step 3
    FOR ADDITIONAL PROTECTION

For additional protection, use two boxes for fragile items, for example: use a slightly smaller box to place the items you wrapped. Once inside, fold the flaps and secure the seams with tape. Place the smaller box inside the larger box making sure there are a few inches on each side.

  • Step 4
    USE A NEW CORRUGATED BOX

Use a new corrugated box that is meant for shipping and is slightly larger to accommodate additional packaging. Remember, you can avoid additional charges by packing efficiently.

  • Step 5
    GENTLY FLIP YOUR BOX

Gently flip your box over and begin folding the flaps inward (small flaps first). All seams should be sealed with packing tape starting from the bottom. This method will firmly secure your package and prevent the box from breaking.

  • Step 6
    NOW GENTLY TURN

Now gently turn your box over again and put in some Styrofoam peanuts or packing foam to add another layer of security

  • Step 7
YOUR ITEMS CAN NOW BE PLACED

Your items can now be placed on the bottom layer. Place more of the Styrofoam peanuts or packing foam around your item so that they are a few inches from the sides of the box. There should be no room for your items to move around easily.

  • Step 8
    SHIPPING LABELS

Shipping labels and corresponding documents can now be affixed to your box. Be sure to tape all seams and use fragile stickers on more than one side of the box when necessary.
